This page, and the DVDs described below, are published with the financial assistance of the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF).

The community-based Cradley Then & Now Heritage Project is supported by an HLF grant to help discover more about Cradley's rich and diverse past.

The Project ran from from June 2009 to December 2010.

The Cradley Then & Now 3xDVD set of 54 heritage films is now available. The 3xDVD set is broadly divided into; Cradley History & People, Work & Play and War & Peace.

The village of Cradley has a diverse history dating back to Mesolithic times. This series of heritage films tells some of its stories. Aspects of the community's unique character, what its people have experienced at work and play, as well as their exploits during the years of war, are explored.

Featuring: Stories written, narrated and presented by local people with works by local artists and musicians.

The 3xDVD Cradley film collection runs for some 6 hours. The Cradley DVD film collection has been produced for the Heritage Project by Cradley Heath Film / h-arts Entertainment. It is one of the wide variety of their films, that range from short stories, to feature length movies and documentaries.
